One Year of Sparkling Success | Celebrating our Journey and Embracing Change

Wow, what a year it’s been! As we celebrate the first anniversary of our cleaning business, we can’t help but look back on the crazy journey that brought us here. From that first lightbulb moment to where we stand today, it’s been a wild ride... full of unexpected turns, a little bit of elbow grease, and a whole lot of learning.

Our story started in a rather unconventional way. My husband (forgetting we're not 20 years old anymore) managed to break his collarbone at a work event. Ouch, right? Little did we know that just three months later, that injury would lead to him losing his job. It wasn’t exactly the turn of events we had planned, but sometimes life has a funny way of nudging (or shoving) you toward something new.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and as he recovered with a restriction limiting him to household chores, the idea hit me... why not start a cleaning company? It seemed like the perfect opportunity, especially given his newfound expertise in… well, all things domestic. And so, our My Spotless Move journey began.

Now, here we are, one year in, and we’ve cleaned our way through a whole spectrum of spaces: move-in homes, apartments, new constructions, hoarder homes, and estate properties. You name it; we’ve scrubbed it. And let me tell you, no two jobs have been the same!

But here’s the thing we’ve learned along the way: Do all the things.

Not everything you try will work out perfectly, and that’s okay. It’s okay to pivot, to change course when something doesn’t quite fit. Sometimes, the boring business idea you didn’t think was worth the effort ends up being the one that works.

What sets us apart from other cleaning companies? Well, for starters, we specialize in cleaning empty houses. No need to wait for a slot in our weekly schedule. We’re here for those last-minute, oh-my-gosh-we-need-this-place-cleaned-NOW moments. And we love it. Plus, we’ve embraced the power of technology to give our clients peace of mind. We take videos of the work we complete so our clients can see exactly what’s been done without feeling like they need to watch over our shoulders.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re incredibly thankful for all the clients we’ve met along the way. Each home, each space, has taught us something new and helped us grow. We’re not just cleaning houses; we’re building trust, one spotless room at a time.

So, here’s to another trip around the sun. We can’t wait to see what year two has in store for us. Whether it’s more hoarder homes (we’ve seen some things…) or brand-new construction projects, we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and dive in. Thank you for being part of our journey.
